This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team and be involved in the running of our Nightingale Nurture Room. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Nurture Room (Nightingale) with support from the SENCO and SEN Team.
The key purpose of the role is to lead and provide high quality care and support for a small group of pupils with a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Welcome, support and contribute to the ethos of the school
- Be responsible for monitoring access to the Nurture Room an d identifying patterns of behaviour
- Communicate with parents, carers, teachers and wider professional to ensure children receive appropriate support
- Support the learning and development of children when in the Nurture Room
- Be able to hold all children in mind with unconditional positive regard⢠Be skilled at relating well to children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties
- Have had experience of nurture provision or support
- Have a can-do, problem solving attitude to children’s concerns
- Be relentless in enjoying a challenge and infusing their work with hope
- Have a passion for inclusion and support the positive attendance of children
- Be able to work proactively, independently, and also as part of a school team
- Be able to lead others
- Have an awareness of The Attachment Theory
- Be able to support and lead intervention groups for children in relation to their SEND needs.
